Dr. Larry Kelly
Dr. Larry Kelly is a Public Safety Psychologist and Partner at Ancora Psychological, a private practice specializing in Public Safety Psychology with office locations in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts. He’s administered over 500 pre-employment and fitness-for-duty evaluations for police and fire departments across New England. Dr. Kelly is a member of the Psychological Services Section of the International Chiefs of Police (IACP), and has immersed himself in the ever-growing field of Public Safety Psychology.
Dr. Kelly’s training in police psychology began at William James College in 2006, but has blossomed as he’s immersed himself in the most evidence-based and cutting edge psychological practices and techniques. Dr. Kelly’s extensive training in trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and men’s issues have all been vital to his development as a police psychologist. Dr. Kelly has been providing therapy since 2006, and Public Safety Assessments since 2011. This combination of both clinical and testing experience have allowed Dr. Kelly to develop close working relationships with over 50 police and fire Department which include small towns and major cities across both NH and MA.
Dr. Kelly holds a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from William James College, which he completed in 2010. Dr. Kelly also completed a Master’s of Arts in Clinical Psychology in 2008, and a Masters of Education in Counseling from the University of New Hampshire in 2006. Finally, Dr. Kelly graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2005 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice.
